Imran Khan wins double relief from court– But why couldn’t he appear today?

ISLAMABAD: (Suno News) A special court in Islamabad has accepted former Prime Minister and PTI founder Imran Khan's requests to speak with his children regularly and get routine medical checkups by his personal doctors.

The decision came from Special Judge (FIA Central) Shah Rukh Arjumand, who heard the petitions filed by Imran Khan’s legal team. Lawyer Usman Riaz Gull argued that the court had already allowed medical checkups before, and now Khan should be checked monthly by his personal doctors, as also advised by the Islamabad High Court.

Another lawyer, Zaheer Abbas, confirmed that a checkup was already done as per the court’s earlier instructions. After hearing both sides, the judge approved Imran Khan’s requests for weekly calls with his children and regular medical examinations.

Meanwhile, in a separate case, Additional Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka was hearing five bail petitions related to fake receipts and protest-related charges against Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi.

Their lawyer Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry said that the court had ordered Imran Khan to appear today. The judge asked if jail authorities had responded, and the court staff confirmed receiving a letter.

The judge also inquired about a video link option to present Imran Khan in court. However, jail officials later informed the court that due to internet issues, Imran Khan could not be presented via video link either.
