Hadiqa Kiani and Alkhidmat launch major relief operation for flood victims in Jalalpur Pirwala and Shujabad
MULTAN (Web Desk): Renowned singer and social activist Hadiqa Kiani joined hands with Alkhidmat Foundation to distribute flood relief packages among 1,000 affected families in Jalalpur Pirwala and Shujabad.

According to Alkhidmat Foundation’s spokesperson, a special ceremony was organized in Multan district to help flood victims. During the event, 600 families in Jalalpur Pirwala and 400 families in Shujabad received relief packages containing food, bedding, quilts, water coolers, mosquito nets, mats, utensils, and other daily-use essentials.

The spokesperson added that 500 children were also given special gifts including stationery, toys, and school supplies to bring smiles back to their faces.

Hadiqa Kiani interacted closely with women and children, listening to their problems and needs. Speaking at the ceremony, she said, “The floods were a major disaster, but I’m deeply inspired by the organized and impactful efforts of Alkhidmat Foundation.” She also announced plans to collaborate with Alkhidmat to establish disaster management centers in Jalalpur Pirwala and Shujabad.

She praised the resilience of flood-affected women and children, saying their courage was truly admirable. “We must stand together and share their pain,” she emphasized.

President of Alkhidmat Foundation Multan, Syed Abdul Qadir, thanked Hadiqa Kiani for her support, noting that Alkhidmat had rescued and assisted thousands of families since the floods began and was now entering the rehabilitation phase.

Media Manager Shoaib Hashmi said the mission of Alkhidmat extended beyond immediate relief — “We aim to stay with these families until they are fully rehabilitated.” He also revealed that a farmers’ rehabilitation program would soon be launched.

President of Alkhidmat Shujabad, Dr. Waseem Hasan Wains, appreciated Hadiqa Kiani’s involvement, saying that when artists participate in social causes, it strengthens compassion and unity in society.

After distributing aid, Hadiqa Kiani visited Basti Bhopatwala, where she met affected families and shared words of encouragement. She urged young people to join skill-based programs like ‘Bano Qabil’ and learn trades to change their future with their own hands.
