Govt to mark Prophet’s 1500th birth year with historic celebrations

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk): The government has decided to celebrate the 1500th birth year of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) with great devotion, honor, and enthusiasm.

A special meeting chaired by Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf reviewed the preparations for Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH). The ministry announced that ‘Ashra Rehmat-ul-lil-Alameen ’ will be observed in a grand manner, and all arrangements have been finalized.

The minister said that from the 1st to the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal, ceremonies focusing on the Seerat-un-Nabi will be organized at national and provincial levels. These programs will continue for 12 days across the country.

He added that under the resolutions of the National Assembly and Senate, gatherings will be held nationwide to spread awareness about the Prophet’s teachings. Provincial and local governments have been directed to actively engage the youth with Seerat-un-Nabi .

The minister also revealed that Islamabad will host the 50th International Seerat-un-Nabi Conference. This year’s theme is: “State’s Responsibilities in Educating and Training Youth for the Positive Use of Social Media in the Light of Seerat-un-Nabi .”

Highlighting the purpose of the celebrations, he said that the aim is to guide the younger generation through the Prophet’s life and teachings. Colleges and universities will also host programs under the banner of Ashra Rehmat-ul-lil-Alameen .

Students of modern educational institutions and religious seminaries will jointly organize events. The minister stressed the need to find solutions to present-day challenges in light of the Seerat-un-Nabi .

He further said that Pakistan must safeguard its education, economy, social values, and family system from deterioration. True success in this world and the hereafter is only possible by following the Prophet ’s example.

The meeting was attended by Minister of Auqaf AJK Hafiz Muhammad Ahmad Raza Qadri, Parliamentary Secretary Balochistan Shahnaz Umrani, senior officials of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and Auqaf secretaries from Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, AJK, and Gilgit-Baltistan.

This announcement highlights a significant national and religious milestone for Pakistan. By combining spirituality with modern challenges such as social media, the government is presenting Seerat-un-Nabi as a timeless guide for the youth.

The celebration’s structure—spanning schools, universities, and international conferences—shows an effort to integrate faith with education and public awareness. If implemented effectively, these initiatives could not only strengthen Pakistan’s cultural and spiritual identity but also provide guidance for tackling modern-day issues through Islamic teachings.
