MUZAFFARABAD: (Suno News) The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) is set to organise a public meeting on June 26 in Muzaffarabad to highlight the plight of victims of torture in general and those who are languishing in Indian jails on fake charges in particular.

The meeting will be organised in collaboration with the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Cell (JKLC), Pasban-e-Hurriyat, and other religious and political parties of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) in connection with the United Nations (UN) International Day in Support of Victims of Torture.

It is envisaged that the event will bring together the entire Kashmiri leadership on both sides of the border at one stage on the issue of the plight of people in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

The event is also believed to serve as a response to the negative propaganda that sows the seeds of disunity.

The APHC will also hold a press conference on June 25 regarding the event. Similar events in connection with the projection of the Kashmir cause are being planned in federal and provincial capitals.
