E-Taxi
KARACHI (Web Desk): To address the issue of unemployment, Sindh government decided to initiate E-taxi programme.

Addressing the press conference, Sindh information minister Sharjeel Inam Memon announced the scheme, saying that through the subsidy, the youth will become the owner of the electric taxi.

According to the plan, the cost of the taxi will be shared among banks, Sindh government and participants.

“The purpose of the scheme is to empower youth by making them self-reliant, they would own a taxi after paying a meagre amount,” Information Minister added.

He further stated that this step would not only generate opportunities of employment for youth but also encourage introduction of modern technology and climate friendly vehicles.

During the presser, he berated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s November 24 demonstration, claiming that it failed to garner any attention in Sindh.

People of Sindh have rejected the PTI’s final call, no one took to street in response to party founder’s call, Memon said.

He blamed that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s resources were being used for arranging protest and PTI’s only focus was its party founder’s release instead of governance.
