Security forces kill 47 militants in Pak-Afghan border operation

(Web Desk): During a clearance operation near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Sambaza, security forces killed 14 more militants, according to Inter-Services Public Relation (ISPR) statement.

The two-day counter-terrorism operation has so far resulted in the deaths of 47 militants, ISPR statement read.

According to the official update, successful operations were conducted in Zhob, where 33 militants were eliminated on August 7 and 8. Additionally, on the night of August 8 and 9, a clearance operation near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border resulted in the killing of 14 more militants, who were reportedly supported by Indian handlers.

Heavy quantities of weapons and ammunition were recovered from the killed terrorists.

“The security forces remain committed to safeguarding the peace and stability of the country. Efforts to protect Pakistan’s borders and eliminate enemies of peace will continue unabated,” ISPR statement read.

This operation highlights the ongoing fight against terrorism and Pakistan’s dedication to maintaining national security and territorial integrity. The military emphasized that such operations will persist to ensure the safety of its citizens and the country s sovereignty.
