
According to an NHMP spokesperson, millions of people travel to their hometowns for Eid, leading to increased traffic congestion, making it essential for travelers to take necessary precautions.
The advisory urges citizens to thoroughly inspect their vehicles before setting off, including checking engine oil, coolant levels, brakes, and tire pressure.
Drivers are also strongly advised to wear seatbelts, adhere to speed limits, maintain a safe distance from other vehicles, and observe proper lane discipline.
The motorway police further emphasized that drivers should be well-rested before undertaking long journeys. They recommend taking breaks every 2 to 2.5 hours, warning that driving while sleepy or drowsy is extremely dangerous.

Additionally, passengers are encouraged to report any instances of overloading or overcharging in public transport by calling the NHMP helpline at 130.
The spokesperson assured the public that motorway police are available around the clock to assist travelers, and in case of emergencies, citizens should immediately contact the 130 helpline.
This advisory has been issued with the goal of protecting lives and property and to help ensure that holiday travel remains safe and enjoyable.
