
Following directives from Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, e-cigarette has been banned during the provincial cabinet meeting in Lahore.
The Chief Minister instructed district administrations and relevant authorities to initiate a comprehensive crackdown across the province, aiming to curb the growing use of vapes — particularly among the youth.
"Unregulated use of vapes among young people poses serious health hazards. This decision has been taken to shield our younger generation from chronic diseases and addiction," stated CM Maryam Nawaz.

In addition to the vaping ban, the Punjab Cabinet—under her leadership—introduced a broad set of public welfare and development initiatives. These include a 30% to 40% reduction in electricity tariffs, the launch of Punjab’s first regional airline, and the distribution of 1,100 free electric taxis in Lahore.
The 26th cabinet meeting, attended by senior ministers and officials, covered a comprehensive 101-point agenda focusing on public relief, infrastructure enhancement, environmental protection, and the digital transformation of key sectors.
