LAHORE: (Web Desk) Pakistan has said it shot down 12 Indian Harop drones after another airspace violation near major cities including Karachi and Lahore, warning that India will “continue to pay dearly” for this aggression.

India sent Israeli Harop drones to multiple locations, including the two largest cities of Karachi and Lahore, and their debris is being collected, ISPR DG Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said.

"Indian drones continue to be sent into Pakistan airspace...(India) will continue to pay dearly for this naked aggression," ISPR DG said.

India has imported military hardware worth $2.9 billion from Israel over the last decade, including radars, surveillance and combat drones, and missiles.

During the night of May 7 and 8, India attempted to target multiple urban centres in various cities.

Speaking at a press conference, the military spokesperson said that Indian drones violated Pakistani airspace in nearly a dozen cities, including Lahore, Gujranwala, Chakwal, Rawalpindi, Attock, Bahawalpur, Mianwali, Chhor, and Karachi.

“All drones were successfully shot down by Pakistan’s air defence systems,” he said. "Debris of the downed drones is being picked up."
