LAHORE: (Web Desk) Pakistan armed forces shot down a drone in the area of Defence Housing Authority (DHA) in Lahore.

According to the police, debris of the drone has been found, and gunshots were also heard shortly after the incident.

Initial reports suggest that there have been no casualties, but the incident has caused widespread panic among residents. The police have stated that a thorough investigation is underway to determine the nature and purpose of the drone.

Security agencies have cordoned off the area and begun collecting evidence.

There has been an increase in drone crashes across various parts of the country, likely due to the rising tensions between Pakistan and India, prompting security forces to remain on high alert.

In the early morning, the explosion occurred in the Gopal Nagar and Naseerabad localities, where locals reported hearing three powerful explosions.

The blasts were so intense that people rushed out of their homes in panic, creating an atmosphere of fear and confusion.
