Residents remain fearful, and authorities have advised locals to stay cautious amid concerns about the possibility of more explosions. The exact cause of the blasts is still unknown, and investigations are ongoing.
In the aftermath of the incident, airspace security has been tightened. Several flight paths within the airspace of Lahore and Sialkot airports have been temporarily suspended for commercial flights.
A NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) issued by the Civil Aviation Authority stated that seven flight routes in Lahore’s Flight Information Region have been suspended. Similarly, all landing and takeoff operations at Sialkot Airport have been halted until noon.
These restrictions were imposed as a precautionary measure. Airlines and passengers faced significant disruptions due to the sudden developments, with multiple flights delayed, sparking anxiety and frustration among travelers at both Lahore and Sialkot airports.
Authorities have urged the public to avoid unnecessary movement and to follow official instructions. Relevant agencies are conducting a thorough investigation to determine the cause of the explosions.
