(Web Desk): The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has launched a double-shift school system with the purpose of making education more convenient for children in far-flung and underprivileged regions.

Faraz Ahmad Mughal, spokesperson for Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, said that the second shift would be initiated in some designated schools to enable students from remote areas to avail more opportunities to study, eradicating the problems of long distances for travel and packed classrooms.

To implement the initiative, more than 2,500 teachers will be employed temporarily, of which 1,804 will be primary and 639 secondary school teachers, all on contract. Candidates who are interested can apply through local district education offices or on the official website of the education department.
