Noor Muqaddam case: Convict Zahir Jaffer files review petition

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk): Zahir Jaffer, a convicted criminal in the Noor Muqaddam case, has filed a review petition.

A review appeal was filed in the Supreme Court through senior lawyer Khawaja Haris.

The petition filed argued that the court did not determine the mental state of the accused. A petition was filed in the Supreme Court to form a medical board. The Supreme Court did not rule on this miscellaneous petition.

The petition stated that video recordings were relied upon to impose the death penalty, the videos were not even proven to be accurate during the trial, the video recordings were not even provided to the accused, and those videos were never even played during the trial.

The petition stated that there are solid reasons for reviewing the decision, and that the court should review its decision.
