Field Marshal issues special orders for flood relief operations in KP

(Web Desk): Field Marshal and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Syed Asim Munir has issued special instructions to the Pakistan Army regarding the rehabilitation of flood-affected people in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

Army Chief directed that the troops stationed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa should provide full support in the rehabilitation efforts for flood victims. Additional army contingents are also being deployed to assist in these operations.

Sources revealed that the Pakistan Army has dedicated one day s salary from all personnel for the rehabilitation of flood-affected citizens in the province. Furthermore, the army has allocated over 600 tons of its one-day ration to assist the flood victims.

The COAS has also directed the Corps of Engineers to expedite the repair of damaged bridges. Where needed, temporary bridges are to be established immediately to restore connectivity.

Rescue operations are being ramped up — the Army’s Canine Unit from 9th Unit, equipped with sniffer dogs, has been deployed for search and rescue operations, alongside a specialized Urban Search and Rescue team, both sent under the direct instructions of the Army Chief.

Additionally, Army helicopters and aviation units have already been deployed for relief and rehabilitation efforts in flood-hit areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Security sources confirmed that the Pakistan Army stands shoulder to shoulder with the brave people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during this difficult time and will continue to assist them in every possible way.
