According to the spokesperson, Hajj applications can now also be submitted at designated banks on Monday, August 18.
The Ministry stated that more than 110,000 applications have been received in the past 12 days, while only 7,000 seats remain available under the government Hajj scheme.

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Religious Affairs clarified that the extension is for a limited time and that application submissions will be immediately stopped once all seats are filled.
The spokesperson further said that the extension is being given on a first come, first served basis to allow those pilgrims who, for any reason, were unable to submit their applications within the original deadline to benefit from this final opportunity.
It is worth mentioning that this year, the government has introduced a transparent and simplified system for the government Hajj scheme, under which all applications are received through designated banks.
Pilgrims are also instructed to bring all required documents and fees with them at the time of submitting their application at the designated banks to avoid any inconvenience.
