(Web Desk): The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) is urging citizens to ensure that all family members are properly registered in its records.

Officials have warned that applicants may face serious legal complications if there is missing information—such as unregistered parents, siblings, spouse, or children.

Starting from June 2025, new identity card regulations will come into effect. NADRA has made it clear that maintaining accurate family data is now more important than ever.

According to the updated rules, the Family Registration Certificate (FRC) will only be issued after verification of the information provided by the applicant. The FRC will now be accepted for all legal purposes, making it a vital document for official procedures.

Citizens are encouraged to use the Pak-ID mobile app to review their family details from the comfort of their homes. This step is part of NADRA’s continued efforts to make public services more accessible and transparent.

If a family member is missing from the official record, individuals can register the missing member directly through the Pak-ID app or visit the nearest NADRA office for in-person assistance.

NADRA officials emphasize the importance of keeping family data up to date and accurate. Obtaining a Family Registration Certificate based on verified and complete information will help avoid unnecessary delays and legal issues when dealing with government services or documentation processes.

Citizens have been urged by NADRA not to delay and to ensure their family details are correctly listed in the national database as early as possible.
