Now, Pakistani citizens can submit applications for Succession Certificates at any NADRA center nationwide, regardless of where the inherited property is located.
Applying for a succession certificate has been simplified as citizens no longer need to travel to the province where the property is located to apply for a succession certificate.
Applications can now be submitted at any of the 186 Succession Facilitation Units (SFUs) across the country.
At any NADRA centre, biometric verification of legal heirs can be done, or the registration can also be done remotely using the Pak ID mobile app. This makes the process even more convenient.

Instructions have been formally issued to all relevant NADRA centres, by NADRA. The centres have been notified about the recent policy update so citizens are not turned away based on location.
It was emphasized by NADRA’s spokesperson Syed Shabahat Ali in a detailed interview that these changes are part of the authority’s larger effort to digitize and decentralize citizen services, ensuring convenience and accessibility for the public.
Improvements to other NADRA services were also discussed by the spokesperson, including:
· For matters of inheritance, property, and legal identification, the Family Registration Certificate (FRC) has now been officially recognized as a legal document.
· New policies for B-Forms (Child Registration Certificates) have been established that require birth registration at Union Councils and updated biometric details.
· The Pak ID mobile app is being expanded and allows users to manage their identity documents and verifications entirely online.
NADRA is significantly reducing the burden on citizens and fostering productivity, convenience, and efficiency with this new nationwide policy. The process for citizens dealing with inheritance matters has been simplified. By making the succession certificate process more efficient, accessible, and transparent, this move is expected to benefit thousands of families across Pakistan.
