
The objective of this campaign is to encourage citizens to obtain a driving licence. Drivers found operating motorcycles, cars, or heavy vehicles without a license may face a challan or other legal actions.
It is mandatory for citizens who have obtained a driving license from the Traffic Police Punjab to carry it while driving.
Traffic police officials stationed at various checkpoints in cities throughout Punjab are authorized to request and verify drivers licences.
The Punjab Police have introduced an online service that allows citizens to access a digital version of their driving license. This e-licence can be stored on smartphones and shown to traffic officers when requested.
How to Download the e-License
Punjab residents can easily download their e-license by visiting the website. Under the "License Info" tab, select the e-license option, enter your CNIC number and date of birth, and click the download button. The PDF copy of the licence will then be available for download.
The traffic police will charge Rs150 in wake of Test fee from each applicant. Furthermore, the fee for one-year driving license stands at Rs1,980 while it will be Rs3,330 for two years.
If you want to obtain a driving license with three-year validity, you will pay Rs4,680 in wake of fee. Similarly, the department charges Rs6,030 for four years and Rs7,380 for five years.
