Govt launches second phase of applications for Hajj scheme 2026

(Web Desk): Pakistan government has announced the second phase of receiving applications for Hajj scheme 2026.

According to a spokesperson of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, applications along with the first installment of Hajj expenses will be accepted until August 16.

Under Hajj 2026 second phase the applicants can submit their applications through the Ministry’s official online portal.

Overseas Pakistanis can also benefit from this facility and submit applications under the second phase of Hajj application. They may submit their Hajj applications in Pakistan through a close relative or an authorized representative at designated banks. It has been clarified that overseas applicants must submit a medical fitness certificate; however, this can be presented to the relevant authorities upon returning to Pakistan.

The spokesperson further stated that once the Hajj quota is filled, the application process will be stopped immediately. Therefore, interested individuals are advised not to wait until the deadline and to submit their applications as early as possible. Selection of suitable pilgrims will be carried out according to the prescribed criteria, and all applications will be recorded in a computerized system to ensure transparency.

After the payment of the first installment, applicants will be given a specified time to deposit the remaining amount so that more people can participate in the scheme. The Ministry has provided application forms and required information on its official website, along with a list of designated banks.

It is worth mentioning that during the first phase of the Government Hajj Scheme, applications were accepted from specific registered pilgrims, while the second phase aims to provide more people with the opportunity to perform Hajj in 2026.
