Federal Govt eases employment age limit for overseas women

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk): As part of the facilities and incentives package for overseas Pakistanis, the government has decided to provide an additional 2 years of relaxation in the age limit for overseas women in federal jobs.

In this regard, the Establishment Division has issued a notification of formal amendments to the Civil Service Rules 1993.

Under the amendment, overseas Pakistani women will receive a total age relaxation of 7 years for federal government jobs, which will be given on the basis of initial appointment.

According to the notification, this facility will be applicable only to those overseas women who meet the definition of Overseas Pakistani under Section 2 of the Immigration Ordinance 1979.

According to government officials, this initiative has been taken to include Pakistani women living abroad in national development, so that their talents can be fully utilized.

On the other hand, citizens say that this decision will not only provide more opportunities for talented women, but will also improve Pakistan s global image.

According to analysts, this amendment clearly reflects the government s commitment and inclusion towards overseas Pakistanis, especially women who want to play a role in the country s development.
