The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has issued a Safe City Traffic Alert following road closures at several busy intersections across the provincial capital. According to the alert released on October 13, 2025 (Monday), motorists are advised to use alternate routes to avoid long delays.
The new Lahore traffic update mentions that movement toward Thokar Niaz Baig, Babu Sabu, Chungi Amar Sidhu, Lalpul, and Shahdara is being restricted due to ongoing congestion and road management operations. Both sides of Lalyani Road, Saggian Bridge, Canal Road (Thokar to Jail Road), and Samanabad Main Road are closed for the time being.
Similarly, entry and exit ramps of major motorways including M2, M3, and M11 are affected in both directions, prompting the authority to urge commuters to plan their routes carefully before traveling.
These routes will be closed in Lahore:
· Thokar Niaz Baig to Babu Sabu
· Chowk Yateem Khana to Pir Makki
· Data Darbar to Shahdara (both sides)
· Lal Pul to Gajjumata (both sides)
· Shahdara to Muridke (both sides)
· Motorway M2 Interchange (both sides)
· Motorway M3 Interchange (both sides)
· Motorway M11 Interchange (both sides)
The city traffic police Lahore mention that these precautions aims to ensure public safety and smooth flow of emergency and official traffic during ongoing operations. Citizens are requested to follow Safe City Radio FM 88.6 for live traffic updates and guidance.
