Intended as a digital lifeline, this update reaches widows, elderly women, persons with disabilities, and low-income daily-wage households without the need to stand in queues or rely on intermediaries.
One key update is a mobile-friendly interface, optimized for both smartphones and basic feature phones, ensuring that even remote regions like Tharparkar, Balochistan, AJK, and Gilgit-Baltistan can easily access real-time information—free of charge.
The trusted SMS service can be used if internet is not available. For SMS, simply text your 13-digit CNIC to 8171 to receive instant confirmation of your eligibility and payment status.

How to Check Eligibility & Payment Status
Online users can visit the official portal, enter their CNIC (without dashes), complete the captcha, and hit “Check Now” to view payment status instantly.
However, if internet access is unavailable, you can send your CNIC via SMS to 8171 and receive an immediate reply with your current status. This dual access ensures no one is left behind.
Updated Eligibility Criteria & Priority Recipients
This phase prioritizes households led by widows or divorced women, elderly women without income, individuals with disabilities, and daily wage earners living on less than Rs25,000 per month.
A verified CNIC and participation in the latest BISP dynamic survey are necessary for eligibility. Government employees and pension holders have been excluded as the government tightens rules to ensure the aid reaches those who truly need it.
If your CNIC shows as unregistered or ineligible, you can request a re-survey at the nearest BISP or Ehsaas center.
Collection Points & Required Documents
Eligible beneficiaries can collect their Rs13,500 at HBL or Bank Alfalah branches, biometric ATMs, official BISP centres, or mobile payment vans in rural areas. All you need is your original CNIC for biometric thumb verification.
To streamline the process, bring your SMS confirmation or payment slip. Optionally, carry a CNIC photocopy, and have family and income details on hand for potential survey verification.
Fraud Prevention: Stay Safe
To avoid scams, use only 8171.bisp.gov.pk. Never send CNIC numbers to unknown contacts or pay anyone for services—this aid is completely free.
Don’t share your fingerprints, CNIC copies, or OTPs with anyone. If you receive suspicious messages, report them immediately to the BISP helpline at 0800-26477.
For those not yet registered, don’t worry. Visit your nearest BISP or Ehsaas centre with your CNIC to request a dynamic survey. Just provide accurate household details to qualify for the next phase.
