Following the explosion, security forces, in coordination with the Balochistan Police, launched a joint clearance operation.
During the ensuing exchange of fire, 10 more fleeing terrorists were neutralized, bringing the total number of terrorists killed in the operation to 18.
Two security personnel sustained injuries while confronting the fleeing terrorists during the operation.
The incident has once again highlighted the threat posed by foreign-sponsored and supported terrorist networks, whose activities not only target security forces but also put local civilians at grave risk through the storage and preparation of explosives in populated areas.
