A training aircraft crashed near Jabr canal along Katalang Road in Mardan on Monday, resulting in the death of two onboard personnel and injuries to two bystanders, officials and local sources said.

According to initial reports, the aircraft went down suddenly under unclear circumstances, causing panic in the surrounding area. Authorities confirmed that both personnel on board were martyred at the scene.

Two civilians who were passing nearby at the time of the crash also sustained serious injuries. They were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital after receiving first aid from emergency responders.

Rescue 1122 teams reached the site shortly after the incident and launched relief and evacuation operations. The area was cordoned off to facilitate rescue work and ensure public safety.
