Security forces kill 3 more militants in Mastung, Fitna al Hindustan targeted
According to security sources, the latest raid targeted suspected militant hideouts in the Khad Kocha area of Mastung, resulting in the destruction of several hideouts and the killing of three militants.
Sources said several other militants were reportedly wounded during the exchange of fire, and that a cache of weapons, explosives and materials used to manufacture improvised explosive devices was recovered from the site.
Security officials said intelligence-based operations would continue across Balochistan until terrorism is eliminated and lasting stability is restored to the province.
Officials say the militants involved in these operations are linked to Fitna Al Hindustan, the term Pakistani authorities use to describe India-backed elements operating among banned groups such as the Balochistan Liberation Army.
Taken together, security officials say the past several days of operations in Mastung have removed more than a dozen militants from the group's network in the district, though authorities have not issued a single consolidated tally.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has praised the performance of security forces in recent operations, describing their achievements in maintaining peace in Balochistan as commendable and saying the nation stood behind them.
Military officials say the operations form part of the broader Azm-e-Istehkam counterterrorism campaign, approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan, aimed at dismantling foreign-sponsored terrorist networks in the province.
