Pakistan armed forces issue powerful Independence Day message
Pakistan’s armed forces leadership has congratulated the nation on the 79th Independence Day, saying the country’s strength lies in the unity and collective resolve of its people.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Admiral Naveed Ashraf and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu paid tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founders of Pakistan and all those who sacrificed their lives for freedom.
In a special message, the military leadership said the vision, courage and determination of Pakistan’s founders would continue to guide the nation. Their principles remain a source of inspiration for protecting Pakistan’s ideology and national values.
The armed forces also paid tribute to the sacrifices of martyrs and acknowledged the services of veterans, soldiers, law enforcement personnel and citizens who have contributed to the country.
The military leadership reaffirmed its commitment to defending Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity against all threats. It also pledged to uphold the Constitution and fulfill the responsibility entrusted to the armed forces by the people.
The leadership said the armed forces would remain united with the nation to protect peace and stability across the country.
It stressed that national unity and collective determination are the real sources of Pakistan’s strength. The armed forces also called for greater tolerance, national solidarity and discipline to create an environment suitable for development and prosperity.
On Independence Day, the leadership urged the nation to work together for a secure, stable and prosperous Pakistan, while renewing its commitment to the principles of faith, unity and discipline.
