The military’s media wing said both sides reviewed matters of mutual interest and explored new ways to further strengthen defense and military ties between Pakistan and Turkiye.
“During the meeting, besides dilating upon matters of mutual interest, prevailing regional and global security landscape, and prospects for strengthening bilateral defense and military cooperation were also discussed,” ISPR said.
On his arrival at the General Headquarters (GHQ), General Bayraktaroglu was presented with a guard of honour by a well-prepared contingent of the Pakistan Armed Forces.

ISPR said the dignitaries expressed satisfaction over the current direction of Pakistan–Turkiye relations and stressed the need for close coordination and enhanced defense collaboration.
Field Marshal Asim Munir highlighted the long-standing brotherly relationship between Pakistan and Turkiye, rooted in shared history, mutual trust, and strong people-to-people ties.
“He appreciated the support and cooperation extended by the Turkish Armed Forces and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral military-to-military relations,” the statement added.
General Selcuk Bayraktaroglu thanked Pakistan for the warm reception and praised the professionalism of its armed forces. He reaffirmed Turkiye’s commitment to deeper cooperation through training, joint exercises, and a capacity-building program.
“The visit reflects the enduring strategic partnership between Pakistan and Turkiye and their shared commitment to regional peace, stability, and security,” ISPR said.
Separately, the Turkish chief of general staff also called on Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif.

Both sides reaffirmed the historic friendship and brotherly ties between Pakistan and Turkiye, based on shared history, faith, and mutual respect.
General Bayraktaroglu appreciated Pakistan’s role in promoting regional peace and stability. He stressed Turkiye’s desire for lasting stability, including peace in Afghanistan, and highlighted dialogue and cooperation to avoid conflict.

The defense minister thanked Turkiye for its consistent support during difficult times and reiterated Pakistan’s policy of pursuing peace through engagement, restraint, and regional cooperation.
Both sides also discussed issues of mutual interest, with a focus on strengthening defense and security collaboration.
