Pakistan forces shoot down Eight drones launched from Afghanistan

Pakistan’s armed forces have neutralized eight suicide drones that were launched from Afghan territory. Four of the drones were brought down about seven kilometers from Kohat City in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Air defense systems shot down the remaining four drones near the Torkham border crossing.

Security sources confirmed that military systems remain on high alert to handle incoming aerial threats. The quick action by defense units prevented significant damage to local infrastructure and nearby civilian areas. Forces continue to monitor all airspace movements along the western border region around the clock.

Security forces thwart border infiltration attempt

Troops also blocked an attempted border infiltration by members of Fitna al-Khawarij in the Kurram sector. Militants launched the crossing attempt from positions inside the Nangarhar and Paktia provinces of Afghanistan. Pakistani soldiers deployed along the boundary responded instantly to keep the attackers from entering the country.

Following the failed crossing attempt, Afghan border positions opened fire on Pakistani posts using mortars and artillery. Security personnel returned fire with heavy weaponry, targeting enemy defensive setups and silencing their firing positions. Several border posts were left abandoned as forces effectively secured full control over the area.
