Lahore (Web Desk): Lahore on high alert as PSL 11 kicks off with 6,000 police deployed and strict security around Gaddafi Stadium.

Lahore has been placed under high security as the Pakistan Super League Season 11 begins in the city. Authorities have introduced a detailed and multi-layered security plan to ensure safety during the tournament.

The opening match is scheduled at Gaddafi Stadium, where Lahore Qalandars will face Hyderabad Kings. Security arrangements cover key locations including the stadium, Allama Iqbal International Airport, team hotels, and travel routes.

DIG Operations Faisal Kamran said a strong multi-layer security system has been set up in and around the stadium.

More than 6,000 police personnel have been deployed, including senior officers, inspectors, and a large number of security staff. Women police officers have also been assigned duties to ensure complete coverage.

Authorities said special security arrangements have been made for both local and foreign players, with constant monitoring of their movements.

Due to security concerns, spectators have not been allowed to attend the opening match. Law enforcement agencies are conducting search and sweep operations in nearby areas to prevent any threats.

Safe City cameras are actively monitoring all important locations without interruption. Punjab Inspector General of Police Abdul Kareem said all departments are working together to ensure peaceful matches.

Officials confirmed that a total of 22 PSL matches will be held in Lahore this season with strict security throughout.
