(Web Desk): Security forces killed 11 terrorists in separate intelligence-based operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, targeting militant hideouts in Bannu, South Waziristan and Khuzdar.

Security forces have killed 11 terrorists during separate intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, according to security sources. The operations targeted suspected militants in Bannu, South Waziristan and Khuzdar.

The operations were carried out after intelligence information helped security forces trace the movement and presence of militants in different areas. Authorities said the actions were aimed at preventing planned attacks and disrupting militant activity.

Five terrorists killed in South Waziristan

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Ladha area of South Waziristan. According to security sources, five terrorists were killed during the operation.

The forces tracked the militants before launching the action. A hideout used by the terrorists was also destroyed during the operation, according to the sources.

The operation was part of continued efforts to prevent militant groups from establishing bases in the region. Security forces have increased intelligence-based actions in areas considered vulnerable to terrorist activity.

Another operation was carried out in Bannu against militants described by security sources as members of Fitna-ul-Khawarij. Two terrorists were killed during the operation.

Security forces also recovered arms and ammunition from the militants. Officials said the recovered material was taken into custody for further investigation.

The operations in Bannu and South Waziristan brought the number of terrorists killed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to seven.

Four terrorists killed in Khuzdar

Security forces also carried out an intelligence-based operation in Khuzdar district of Balochistan. The action took place in the Sasol area against militants described by security sources as Fitna-ul-Hindustan.

According to the sources, four terrorists were killed during the operation. Security forces used quadcopters to help identify and target the militants.

The latest action brought the total number of terrorists killed during the three operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan to 11.

Security sources said special care was taken during the operations to protect local residents. They added that efforts were made to ensure that civilians were not harmed during the actions.

The operations highlight the role of intelligence gathering in identifying militant movements before security forces launch targeted actions.

Government praises security forces

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces following the operations. He commended the personnel involved for conducting successful intelligence-based actions and preventing what he described as the terrorists’ plans.

“The entire nation stands with the security forces in the fight against terrorism,” the prime minister said.

Shehbaz Sharif also repeated the government’s commitment to eliminating terrorism from Pakistan. He said the fight against militant groups would continue until all forms of terrorism were eradicated.

The prime minister’s statement came after the security forces reported the deaths of 11 terrorists in the operations conducted in South Waziristan, Bannu and Khuzdar.

“The nation stands by the security forces in the war against terrorism,” the interior minister said.

The statements from the prime minister and interior minister underline the government’s continued focus on counterterrorism operations. Security agencies are relying increasingly on intelligence-led actions to locate and target militant groups.
