Six terrorists killed in exchange of fire with security forces: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: (Suno News) Six terrorists were killed during intense exchange of fire with security forces while their hideout was also busted in North Waziristan District during the operation, according the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

 “On night 3/4 May 2024, security forces conducted an intelligence based operation in North Waziristan District, on reported presence of terrorists,” the military’s media affairs wing said in a statement.

“During the conduct of operation, intense fire exchange took place between own troops and the terrorists, as a result of which six terrorists were sent to hell. Terrorists’ hideout was also busted during the operation,” it added.

The killed terrorists remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against security forces as well as target killings of innocent civilians in the area, it said and added that sanitization operation is being conducted in the area by the security forces, who remain determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country.

Last Wednesday, Two terrorists were sent to hell by security forces in two separate intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

“An intelligence based operation was conducted in Khyber district. During the conduct of operation, after an intense exchange of fire, Terrorist ring leader Shamrooz @ Sheenay, was sent to hell by the security forces,” said the military’s media affairs wing in a statement.

In another operation conducted by the security forces in Dera Ismail Khan district, Terrorist Mansoor was also successfully neutralized, it further stated.

The statement said, “Weapons, ammunition & explosives were also recovered from the killed terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against security forces as well as extortion & target killings of innocent civilians, and were highly wanted by the law enforcement agencies.”

Earlier, 10 terrorists were sent to hell while three others injured in two separate engagements by the security forces in North Waziristan District.

 “Four terrorists were sent to hell during an intelligence based operation on 8 March. Whereas, during the follow up sanitization operation, four more terrorists were successfully neutralized by the security forces,” said the military’s media affairs wing.

It added, “In a separate operation in North Waziristan District, movement of five terrorists, who were trying to infiltrate Pakistan-Afghanistan border, was picked up by the security forces. After an intense fire exchange, two terrorists, Terrorist Hazrat Umer & Terrorist Rehman Niaz were also sent to hell, while three other terrorists got injured.”

Pakistan has consistently been asking Interim Afghan Government to ensure effective border management on their side of the border, it said and added Interim Afghan Government is expected to fulfill its obligations and deny the use of Afghan soil by terrorists for perpetuating acts of terrorism against Pakistan.
