Anmol Pinky seeks acquittal as Karachi court hears three drug cases
The accused appeared before the court through video link during the hearing. The court recorded statements from three witnesses, including the investigation officer.
Three witnesses record statements
During the hearing, the defence lawyer requested more time to cross-examine the witnesses. The court accepted the request and adjourned further proceedings until October 31.
The three cases relate to the alleged recovery of drugs, according to the case proceedings. The court will continue hearing the matters at the next scheduled session.
Acquittal plea filed in two cases
Separately, Anmol alias Pinky’s lawyer filed applications seeking her acquittal in two cases. The applications ask the court to clear her of the charges in those cases.
The court has yet to decide on the acquittal requests. The outcome will depend on the proceedings and the evidence considered by the court.
Five acquittals in 22 cases
According to the court proceedings, Anmol Pinky has already been acquitted in five of the 22 cases registered against her. The latest applications seek relief in two additional cases.
Her legal position in the remaining cases will be determined through separate court proceedings. The current hearings focus on the three drug recovery cases.
Arrest and allegations
Police said Anmol alias Pinky was arrested on May 11, 2026, during an operation in Karachi’s Garden area. She was named in cases linked to an alleged drug supply network in the city.
Cases were registered against her over allegations including drug-related offences and possession of an unlicensed weapon. These remain allegations, and the court process will determine the outcome of the cases.
The latest applications could be an important step in Anmol alias Pinky’s legal fight. However, filing an acquittal plea does not mean she has been cleared, as the court must decide each application.
