Iranian president set to visit Pakistan to boost bilateral ties, co-op

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi will arrive in Pakistan on Monday for official meetings with the neighbouring country’s leaders to strengthen bilateral ties and cooperation”.
The dialogues will provide an “important opportunity” to strengthen bilateral ties and cooperation in trade, connectivity, energy, and agriculture, according to a statement issued by the foreign ministry Sunday.
During his three-day stay in Pakistan, the Iranian president’s high-level delegation would include the Iranian foreign minister, other Cabinet members, and business representatives.
Raisi is scheduled to meet among other President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
“They will also discuss regional and global developments and bilateral cooperation to combat the common threat of terrorism,” it added.
