Speaking to reporters in Adiala Jail, former Prime Minister Imran Khan said that he had constituted a committee to hold protest, adding that the right to calling off the protest would be rested with the committee. He did not reveal the names of committee members. The centre of protest will be Islamabad, he said.
He further stated, in spite of stripping away the bat symbol, people voted for PTI in general elections on February 8, expressing resentment against the current set-up which is based on stealing mandate. People’s rights have been snatched, he added.
While speaking to media outside Rawalpindi’s Adiala jail, Imran Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan confirmed that PTI founder had given call to hold protest. "Imrank Khan urged students, lawyers, farmers, and civil society to hold protest against the stealing of mandate and 26th Constitutional Amendment," she stated.
