PFSA Jobs 2026: Punjab announces 37 vacancies with special salary packages
The Punjab Forensic Science Authority (PFSA) has announced 37 vacancies for qualified professionals in senior management and forensic science roles. The jobs are offered on a contract basis at PFSA Lahore, its training laboratory and crime scene units or satellite stations across Punjab.
Applicants must have a Punjab domicile to be eligible for these positions. The last date to submit an online application is October 18, 2026.
Salaries reach Rs1.1 million per month
PFSA is offering a monthly salary of Rs1.1 million for the Additional Director General (Forensics) position. The Director Forensic and Manager (Pathology & Histology) posts offer Rs750,000 per month, with a 10% annual increase.
Forensic Scientists in Pathology and Histology will receive Rs375,000 per month, while other Forensic Scientist positions offer Rs325,000. Junior Forensic Scientists will receive Rs200,000 per month, with a 10% annual increase for both categories.
Forensic Scientists and Junior Forensic Scientists will receive half their salary during training, according to the advertisement. The positions are full-time and require employees to work regular hours.
Qualifications and age limits vary by post
The Additional Director General position requires a PhD in Forensic Science, Chemistry, Physics, Genetics or Molecular Biology, along with an MSc in a relevant field. Candidates must also have seven years of relevant experience and seven publications in peer-reviewed journals.
The Director Forensic position requires a relevant PhD and at least seven years of experience in a forensic laboratory. The Manager (Pathology & Histology) role requires relevant medical and postgraduate qualifications in fields such as pathology, histopathology or microbiology, along with laboratory experience.
PFSA is also seeking candidates with qualifications in fields including engineering, chemistry, pharmacy, psychology, photography, graphic design, molecular biology, biotechnology, genetics and computer science. The required degree depends on the specific position, and applicants should check the official advertisement before applying.
The age limit is 42 to 55 years for Additional Director General, 35 to 50 years for Director Forensic and 40 to 55 years for Manager (Pathology & Histology). Most Forensic Scientist posts have an age limit of 28 to 35 years, while Junior Forensic Scientist applicants generally must be between 23 and 35 years old.
PFSA will provide general age relaxation according to the applicable Punjab government rules. Only male candidates can apply for the Forensic Scientist and Junior Forensic Scientist positions in Crime and Death Scene Investigation, while additional coursework requirements apply to the DNA and Serology post.

Candidates applying for more than one post must submit a separate application and pay a separate processing fee for each position. The non-refundable processing fee is Rs2,000 per post and must be paid through the PSID generated after completing the online application.
