Govt Hajj Scheme extends second instalment deadline for pilgrims
One-day extension for Hajj payments
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has extended the deadline for pilgrims who could not deposit their second instalment by the original due date. The remaining applicants have been given until midnight tonight to complete their payments.
Around 1,200 pilgrims have pending payments
According to the ministry, approximately 1,200 applicants under the Government Hajj Scheme have not yet paid the second instalment. The ministry is also sending individual messages to remind these pilgrims to deposit their outstanding dues.
Final opportunity to secure Hajj applications
The ministry has made it clear that tonight is the final opportunity for the remaining pilgrims to pay their second instalment. Applicants who fail to make the payment by the deadline risk having their Hajj applications cancelled.
First instalment to be refunded after cancellation
If an applicant does not pay the second instalment on time, the application will be cancelled and the first instalment will be refunded. Pilgrims who still have outstanding payments should therefore complete the process before the deadline expires.
The one-day extension gives remaining applicants a final opportunity to complete their Hajj payments. However, the strict deadline means that those who fail to pay on time could lose their place under the scheme, although their first instalment will be returned.
The ministry’s individual reminders may help applicants avoid missing the deadline. Pilgrims should check their payment status and follow the ministry’s official instructions to prevent cancellation.
