HEC introduces revised curriculum for BBA, MBA across Pakistan
(Web Desk): The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has announced a revised curriculum for BBA and MBA across Pakistan.

Following a comprehensive review by the National Curriculum Revision Committee (NCRC), HEC introduces new syllabus for Business and Management Studies programs.

The review session, held at the Institute of Management Sciences (IMSciences) in Peshawar, brought together senior academics and subject experts from universities across the country. The HEC’s Curriculum Division facilitated the process, ensuring broad representation and expert input.

Based on the official statement of HEC, the new curriculum addresses BBA, BS, MBA, EMBA, MS, and Associate Degree in Business and Management. It has been formulated for local academic standards at international levels and to respond to emerging industry trends, shifting job market needs, and contemporary business practices.

The new curriculum structure complies with the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) and HEC's Undergraduate and Graduate Education Policies 2023. The framework is planned to enhance the quality, uniformity, and applicability of business education in higher education institutions across the country.

Those in charge pointed out that the revision reflects HEC's continued efforts to enhance skill-based learning and ensure that business graduates have the competencies necessary to compete in today's global economy.

The NCRC meeting was presided over by Dr. Naukhez Sarwar, Professor and Principal at NUST Business School as Convener and co-chaired by Dr. Farooq-e-Azam Cheema, KSBL Karachi Provost. Hidayatullah Kasi, HEC Deputy Director, acted as the Secretary to the Committee and facilitated the proceedings.

The updated BBA and MBA is expected to be implemented in universities soon, ushering in a new era of quality and innovation in business education across Pakistan.
