KARACHI (Web Desk): Former supermodel Vaneeza Ahmad has revealed how her strong Iman (faith) and recitation of Quranic verses helped her overcome lymphoma, a serious form of cancer.

Speaking on Nida Yasir’s morning show, she shared how turning to Allah changed her life and healed her body.

Vaneeza said her illness began when she was at the height of her career. “I was on top of my career and thought I was invincible,” she recalled. “I was doing 18-hour shoots, flying between Paris, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan — I thought nothing could stop me, until Allah reminded me where I came from.”

It started with what seemed like a regular headache, which she dismissed as jet lag. But soon, the pain worsened, affecting her vision and memory to the point where she began forgetting her own name. Doctors initially thought a nerve in her head was compressed, but after several tests and a biopsy, she was diagnosed with lymphoma — a cancer of the blood and lymphatic system.

“I couldn’t believe it,” she said. “I didn’t even know what lymphoma was. I was young, full of life — cancer didn’t fit anywhere in my story.”

Feeling broken and scared, Vaneeza turned to spirituality on a friend’s advice. She visited a spiritual guide who told her to recite specific Quranic verses and pray regularly with full faith in Allah.

“I truly believe in the power of prayer,” Vaneeza said emotionally. “I didn’t take chemotherapy or surgery. I just prayed, recited the Quran, and left everything to Allah. Within days, doctors told me the cancer was gone. I’m still healthy today, Alhamdulillah.”

She shared that the experience changed her completely. “When you’re at your peak, you often forget the source of your success,” she said. “My illness reminded me that health, fame, and success come only from Allah.”

Vaneeza Ahmad’s story reflects the strength of Iman and the healing power of the Quran. Her experience shows how faith can provide hope when medicine feels limited. Many found her story deeply inspiring, as it reminds people that spiritual healing, patience, and belief in Allah’s mercy can turn pain into peace.
