NTDC launches paid internship programme – Here’s all you need to know

(Web Desk) The National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC) has announced the launch of its paid “Grid Girls” Internship Program 2025.

It is a fully paid internship initiative dedicated exclusively to female students and recent graduates. This empowering program is developed in partnership with the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

The Grid Girls Internship Program is designed to equip young women pursuing degrees in hosting 75% off, electrical engineering, civil engineering, electronics engineering, and related technical fields with hands-on experience on real-world engineering projects.

The program focuses on leadership development, practical skills, and professional growth, supporting Pakistan’s mission to increase female participation in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics).

    Practical work experience on national-level electrical grid and civil engineering projects

    A monthly stipend of Rs. 10,000 to support interns financially

Eligibility Criteria: Who Can Apply?

This program is open to motivated and talented female students and recent graduates who meet the following criteria:

    Enrolled in or graduated from Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) programs in Electrical, Electronics, or Civil Engineering

    Candidates with prior research experience or internships in related fields will have an advantage

    Ability to commit to a full-time internship during the program period

Internship Program Structure

Cohort 1:

    Duration: 2 months

    Target Group: 3rd-year undergraduates (5th/6th semester) and 1st/2nd semester Master’s students

    Focus: Hands-on involvement with national engineering projects and grid operations

Cohort 2:

    Duration: 1 month (overlapping with Cohort 1)

    Target Group: Undergraduates from the 2nd semester up to the final year, including eligible Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) students

    Focus: Exploratory learning and project observation to build foundational knowledge
