Imam masjid daughter gets first position in matric exams

(Web Desk): Sidra Saeed ur Rehman, daughter of an imam masjid, has secured first position in the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Abbottabad.

BISE Abbottabad has officially announced the results of the Matric (Class 10) examinations for the academic year 2024–2025.

Girls from private educational institutions dominated the top positions this year. Sidra Saeed ur Rehman secured the first position by scoring 1161 marks, while Areeba Jadoon took the second position with 1159 marks. The third position was claimed by Zofshan Ahmad, who obtained 1158 marks.

A total of 71,629 students appeared in the matriculation exams, out of which 57,543 candidates successfully passed, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 80%.

Speaking on the occasion, the Controller of Examinations said that the results were prepared with complete transparency and strictly on a merit basis. “All students have shown commendable performance,” the official added. “We ensured that marks were awarded purely on merit.”

Notably, Sidra Saeed ur Rehman, the top position holder, is the daughter of an imam masjid. Sharing her thoughts, she said, “I am proud to be the daughter of an imam. Hard work never goes in vain.”

She said that her success in matric exams is the result of her parents and teachers continuous support. “There is not only one factor involved in my achievement. My parents, my schools teachers, school administration are all the core factors behind my glorious success,” she added.
