Karachi (Web Desk): The Sindh government announces new school timings for Ramazan 2026 to help students and teachers manage fasting and studies.

The Sindh School Education & Literacy Department has issued a notification detailing revised timings for all public and private schools, covering primary, secondary, and higher secondary levels.

Single-shift schools will operate from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm Monday to Thursday, and 8:30 am to 11:30 am on Fridays.

In double-shift schools, the morning shift will run from 7:30 am to 11:30 am, while the evening shift will be from 11:45 am to 2:45 pm.

These changes will remain in effect throughout Ramadan, helping fasting students and teachers balance their academic activities with religious duties.

Ramadan in Pakistan is expected to start on 19 February 2026, depending on the moon sighting. During this month, Muslims fast from dawn to sunset, increase their prayers, read the Quran, and participate more in charity.

Earlier, Punjab also revised school timings for Ramadan. Single-shift schools in Punjab will operate from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm Monday to Thursday, and 8:30 am to 12:30 pm on Fridays.
