Pakistan’s passport has recorded a notable improvement in global mobility, allowing citizens broader access to international travel. According to the latest Henley Passport Index released in February 2026, Pakistan’s passport climbed to 97th position, up from 98th in January and 103rd last year.
As reported by Gulf News, this improvement enables Pakistani citizens to travel to 32 countries without a prior visa, either through visa-free entry, visa on arrival (VOA), or electronic travel authorization (eTA).
Regions Covered
These destinations span across Caribbean islands, African safari nations, South Asian cultural hubs, and Pacific island states, offering easier access for tourism, business travel, and short-term visits.
Experts say the upgraded Pakistani passport ranking reflects stronger diplomatic engagement and international agreements, which are expected to enhance tourism, boost trade ties, and improve people-to-people connectivity with other regions.
