Thailand has updated its travel entry system for 2026, introducing new digital immigration requirements while largely retaining existing visa facilities for Pakistani visitors. The move aims to simplify arrivals, improve monitoring, and balance tourism growth with immigration control.
Visa Facilities for Pakistani Travelers Remain
Pakistani passport holders will continue to benefit from the 60-day visa exemption, with the option to extend their stay by an additional 30 days under current rules. In addition, visa-on-arrival facilities remain available for Pakistani travelers, reaffirming Thailand’s commitment to facilitating tourism and short-term visits.
Mandatory Thailand Digital Arrival Card
Authorities have introduced the Thailand Digital Arrival Card, which will be mandatory for all travelers. Visitors must submit the card online within 72 hours before arrival, replacing several manual processes previously completed at airports. Officials say the digital system will reduce queues and enhance border security.

Expanded e-Visa and Long-Stay Options
Thailand has also expanded its e-Visa system, allowing Pakistani travelers to apply digitally before departure, minimizing delays upon arrival.
To encourage longer stays, Thailand is promoting the Destination Thailand Visa, designed for remote workers and digital nomads. Meanwhile, student visas have been updated to allow certain foreign students to study and work under defined conditions. Authorities are also reviewing long-stay and retiree visas to ensure tourism growth aligns with immigration safeguards.
Warning on Misuse of Visa Privileges
Thai officials have cautioned that strict enforcement will apply in cases of visa misuse, including repeated short-term entries, overstays, or informal employment. Violations could lead to penalties or restrictions on future travel.
Advisory for Pakistani Visitors
Pakistani tourists and business travelers are advised to comply fully with the new digital requirements, submit the Digital Arrival Card on time, and follow visa conditions to ensure smooth entry into Thailand in 2026.
