Sindh announces Laptop scheme for students
According to the court order, this Sindh laptop scheme for students must be included in the next provincial budget to support modern education and digital learning needs.
The bench stated that digital devices have become a basic requirement in today’s education system rather than a luxury.
The ruling was passed by Justice Amjad Ali Bohio and Justice Ali Haiderada after hearing a petition filed by Advocate Sohail Memon.
The court emphasized that under constitutional requirements, education must be aligned with modern technology, highlighting the importance of digital education Sindh.
It further directed the Chief Secretary to finalize the scheme within 45 days after consultation with all educational institutions to ensure transparency and fairness.
The court also ordered that the student laptop distribution Pakistan plan must be strictly based on merit so that only deserving students benefit.
