(Web Desk): An internship program with Rs150,000 stipend for six months has been launched in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) for BS students to support them financially.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government has decided to introduce an internship program for BS students. Selected students will receive a monthly stipend of Rs25,000. The move aims to create new learning and earning opportunities.

A detailed briefing on the Ehsaas Internship Program was given to Higher Education Minister Meena Khan Afridi. Different aspects of the program were discussed during the meeting.

Officials said the main goal of the program is to provide practical experience to students. It will also help them become financially independent.

Under this program, the internship duration will be at least two months and up to six months. This will allow students to gain professional skills alongside their studies.

Selected students will receive Rs25,000 per month to support their expenses. Officials believe this step will help prepare youth for future challenges.

According to eligibility criteria, students must have a minimum GPA of 3 to apply. The government said merit will be strictly followed to select deserving candidates.

This initiative is being seen as a major step to create job opportunities for educated youth. It will also help students move forward in practical fields.

This program can reduce financial pressure on students. It also gives them real work experience before entering jobs. If implemented properly, it can improve skills of young people. More such programs may be needed across Pakistan.
