All nine education boards of Punjab issued the revised timetable after a minor change was approved because of the holy month of Ramadan. Under the new plan, matric examinations will now begin on March 27 instead of March 3.
According to the updated schedule, matric results will be announced on August 6, 2026. This change aims to ease pressure on students during fasting days.

The annual intermediate examinations will start from May 20, while their results will be declared on September 23, 2026. Class nine results will be released on September 2, and part one results will be announced on August 22.
The new timetable also covers supplementary exams. Matric supplementary exams will begin on October 6, and their results will be announced on December 8. Intermediate supplementary exams will be held from November 3, with results expected on January 12, 2027.
Education authorities have directed all institutions to make arrangements according to the revised schedule so exams can be held smoothly.
Officials said the decision removes confusion and gives students better preparation time, especially during Ramadan.
