Punjab issues strict school safety orders before monsoon season
Punjab issues strict pre-monsoon safety instructions for schools and warns of action against negligence. The Punjab Education Department has issued strict directives to schools across the province to ensure full preparedness ahead of the monsoon season.
According to the department, all school heads and Class-IV employees have been instructed to remain present during school hours and closely monitor safety arrangements on school premises. Officials said school administrations will be required to inspect roofs, drainage systems, and other key infrastructure to identify potential risks before heavy rainfall begins.
The department has also ordered a detailed assessment of old, damaged, or unsafe buildings. Any structure found to be in poor condition must be reviewed immediately to prevent accidents during the rainy season. Authorities said emergency preparedness and general safety measures have been made mandatory for all schools. Administrations have been directed to ensure the safety of students, teachers, and staff during adverse weather conditions.

Officials warned that school administrations must strictly follow the instructions and ensure full compliance with all safety measures.
The department further stated that negligence or failure to implement the required precautions will not be tolerated. Strict action will be taken against those found responsible for any violations.
