(Web Desk): Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has launched CM Punjab E-Bike Teacher Scheme 2026 to help teachers get bikes with subsidy and easy installments.

The program offers a simple online application process and financial support for teachers.

Major aim of the scheme

The Punjab government has introduced this scheme to provide affordable transport to teachers. It also aims to promote eco-friendly travel through electric bikes.

Subsidy and financial support

Under this scheme, teachers will receive 30 to 40 percent subsidy on electric bikes. The remaining amount will be paid in easy installments over time.

How to apply online

Teachers can apply through the Punjab Teachers Foundation website once the portal becomes active. They need to click on “CM Punjab E-Bike Teacher Scheme 2026 – Apply Online.” and complete the form.

Required documents for application

Applicants must upload CNIC front and back, service certificate or pay slip, driving license or learner permit, and a passport-size photograph. These documents are necessary for verification.

Application submission and confirmation

After filling out the form, teachers must submit the application and download the acknowledgment slip. They will receive SMS or email confirmation after verification.

Installment plan overview

The average e-bike price ranges from Rs200,000 to Rs250,000. The government covers a portion while the teacher pays the rest in 2 to 3 years.

Detailed installment breakdown

Model A costs Rs200,000 with Rs70,000 subsidy and Rs130,000 teacher share, and the monthly installment is Rs3,600. Model B costs Rs230,000 with Rs90,000 subsidy and Rs140,000 share, and the installment is Rs3,900.

Higher model option

Model C is priced at Rs250,000 with Rs100,000 subsidy and Rs150,000 teacher share. Its monthly installment is Rs4,200.

This plan makes it easier for teachers to own electric bikes without a heavy financial burden. Interest-free installments add more convenience for buyers.

Portal issues and current challenges

Officials said the online portal is not fully active yet, which is causing delays. Teachers are waiting for the system to open for applications.
