Last chance tomorrow: MDCAT 2026 late registration closes, here is what you need to know
The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council had earlier closed regular-fee registration on July 13, after more than 138,000 students had already signed up under the standard fee. Candidates who missed that deadline have since been able to register only by paying the late fee, with today marking the absolute final cutoff.
PMDC has said no further extensions will be granted and that the online portal will close automatically once the deadline passes.
MDCAT 2026 will be held simultaneously across the country on Sunday, August 16, starting at 10 am. The test remains a mandatory requirement for admission to MBBS and BDS programmes at public and private medical colleges nationwide.
The exam will consist of multiple-choice questions covering Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English, and Logical Reasoning, with no negative marking.

Responsibility for administering MDCAT 2026 has been divided among regional institutions. The University of Health Sciences Lahore will oversee arrangements in Punjab, Sukkur IBA will manage the process in Sindh, Khyber Medical University will supervise Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences Quetta will handle Balochistan.
Candidates are advised to download their roll number slips well ahead of the test date and to confirm their assigned test centre through the official PMDC portal.
