(Web Desk): Balochistan has postponed class eight exams due to heavy rain and extreme cold, with authorities saying student safety is the top priority.

The Balochistan Education Department announced the postponement of class eight examinations because of continuous rainfall and harsh cold weather across the province. Officials said the decision was taken to protect students from possible risks.

The department said the aim is to ensure a safer and better learning environment for students during challenging weather conditions. Authorities believe forcing exams in such conditions could create health and travel problems.

According to the education department’s spokesperson, the decision was made keeping in view the convenience of students, teachers and parents. Under the revised plan, class eight exams will now begin from 6 February.

The department has also issued a revised examination schedule. All district education officers have been directed to immediately inform students, parents and educational institutions about the new dates to avoid confusion or stress.

The decision shows concern for student safety. Bad weather can affect attendance and health. Early notice can help families plan better. Clear communication will reduce confusion among students.
